4x4 Expedition against the State Machine.
Mountains and nature have given us countless moments of joy and satisfaction... Now is the time to support and help them too... Now, nature needs us... Now our mountains are asking for help... Therefore, as always, we, the off-road enthusiasts, must stand by it!!! We are lovers of nature through actions and deeds, not words... All of us... Along with our good friends from Epirus, Stratos Liontos, Stratos Dovas, and Vasilis Katsos, we are organizing a three-day off-road trip starting from Tyria (Dodoni) and crossing through the municipality of Zitsa. We will pass through the mining site and end at Lakkas Souliou and Souli Mountains with one purpose: to say NO and declare our presence against the mining planned in Gourgainista (municipality of Zitsa) and the installation of wind turbines near Preveza and the Souli Mountains... A 4x4 excursion with the character of protest, revolution, and protection!!! We say NO in the way we all know...
Driving and having fun in the heart of nature...
Souli, Kougi, and the wider area need help.
The participation fees will be given in support of the residents' fight against the destruction and degradation of the area planned by "some" without any respect for the history, nature, residents, and wildlife of the place.
The mining will have a depth of 3.500m!!!
Indicatively, this entails:
1 - DANGEROUS WASTE
2 - POLLUTION OF WATER IN A HUGE AREA
3 - RISK OF TRIGGERING FAULTS
4 - ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION - NOISE POLLUTION
5 - COMPLETE ALTERATION OF THE TOPOGRAPHY OF THE PLACE, CEMENTIFICATION - AESTHETIC VIOLENCE ON THE LANDSCAPE
6 - CONTROL - SAFETY - SAFETY MEASURES - DANGER
We will all be there because among other things...
THIS EARTH HAS BEEN WATERED WITH SWEAT AND BLOOD OF ENTIRE GENERATIONS OF PEOPLE.
THIS EARTH ENDURED OVER 400 YEARS OF TURKISH RULE, YET IT KEPT ALIVE THE FLAME OF REVOLUTION AND FREEDOM.
